Designed to verify which individual units have been exposed to ethylene oxide sterilization.
Also to distinguish between sterilized and non-sterilized units during storage.
The printed orange stripes turn yellow after ethylene oxide (EO) sterilization, according to the following specifications:
Exposure to 600 mg/L of EO and 60% relative humidity (RH) for 20 minutes at 54 °C.
Exposure to 600 mg/L of EO and 60% relative humidity (RH) for 25 minutes at 37 °C.
Total thickness: 0.11 +/- 0.01 mm
Adhesion: 4-5 N/cm
MD Elongation at break: 7%
This product complies with the requirements of ISO 11140-1:2005 for Class 1 process indicators for steam sterilization.
