The borosilicate glass has a higher resistance to sudden temperature changes, making it ideal when the tubes need to be heated up and cooled down quickly.

Soda glass is a cheaper alternative that is used in most laboratory techniques where the tube is not exposed to extreme temperature changes.

Uniform diameter, height and wall thickness.

Resistance to centrifugation: 4000 rpm.
