Retirement interview

Montserrat Mateu
Former Inside Sales - Deltalab
1. After so many years with the company, your well-deserved retirement has arrived. Tell us about your reflections on these 24 years.
These 24 years have shaped my life, both personally and professionally. I've seen the company grow, experienced many changes and challenges, and always tried to give my best. But if there's one thing I value above all else, it's the people I've been fortunate enough to share this journey with. I've worked with extraordinary colleagues.
I leave with the peace of mind that comes from a job well done, with the pride of having contributed for so many years, and above all, with deep gratitude to all the colleagues who have been with me. Now a new chapter begins for me, but I take with me friendships, memories, and an irreplaceable human experience.
2. Now that you've been retired for a couple of weeks, what are your plans? Have you already settled in, or are you still in your work role? Tell us what's happening after so many years
I've only been retired for a couple of weeks and I'm still in that transition phase: every now and then I catch myself thinking about work schedules, tasks, or routines (the "switch-off" doesn't switch off that quickly 😊). But little by little, I'm organizing my new chapter.
I have many important plans: to dedicate more time to my family, take care of myself, do things I always used to put off "when I have time," travel a lot, and enjoy life without rushing. I also want to stay active and not lose touch with the people I've shared so many years with.
After so long working, it's time to readjust to this new cycle I'm beginning, but I'm doing it with great enthusiasm, calmly, and with the feeling of having closed a very valuable chapter.
