Roque Esteban

  1. Could you tell us a little about yourself and your professional background?

    I studied Biological Sciences at the University of Valencia. I then spent four years in the Microbiology Department at La Fe Hospital in Valencia, specializing in Molecular Biology and working with various related technologies (PCR, sequencing, etc.).
    In 2002, I started working at Roche Diagnostics, one of the leading companies in the sector, and spent 19 years working as a specialist and sales representative for various product lines, always integrated into the sales network. There, I met many of the clients of the Microbiology, ASCVD, Hematology, Pathology, and Molecular Biology laboratories in my assigned sales area (Valencian Community, Murcia, and the Balearic Islands). This experience has also allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the diagnostics market in which we operate.
    In 2021, I joined the Deltalab family as a sales representative for the Valencian Community region.

  2. What's your assessment of these 4 years working for the company?

    In these four years with the Deltalab Group, I've been able to continue expanding my knowledge in other product lines I hadn't worked with before. It's been very easy to integrate with my colleagues in the Valencia office, who make my day-to-day work much easier and are great people and professionals. They're also my colleagues in the sales network and PMs from the different lines, who are always there to help with whatever is needed, forming a great team.
    I'm very happy to be part of the Deltalab family and look forward to continuing to grow personally and professionally in this company.

  3. What do you like to do in your free time?

    In my free time, my biggest hobbies are sports and music.
    Regarding sports, I'm a fan of sports, especially basketball (I played for many years in my youth) and especially soccer. I'm a huge fan of Valencia CF, a passion I share with my son Marcos. We're season ticket holders and we always go to Mestalla to cheer on the team, and when time allows, we make occasional trips to cheer on the team when they play away.
    My other passion is music, both as a listener (I have a large CD collection) and as a musician. I play a few instruments (guitar, piano, drums, etc.) and I also sing and compose my own songs. I've been a member of various musical groups over time; I've had a Beatles cover band, and I've also had my own projects where I sang my own songs (El Inquieto Roque, Dyslexia). I also travel with friends to see our favorite artists in concert, either around Spain or, with international artists who don't usually tour here, to other countries.
    I'm also a family man and enjoy spending time with my wife and son. We enjoy making leisure plans and traveling together.
