  1. Why is it so difficult to return to work after vacation?
Everyone reacts differently to returning to their routine, and each person will also have different factors that influence this process. Of all the possible reasons, one of the main ones, and one that will surely affect most of us, is that during vacation we adopt a calmer and more relaxed pace of life, and returning to our work routine after vacation means having to readjust our physical and mental rhythm, which sometimes requires a short period of adaptation.

  2. What advice would you give to make the transition more manageable?
Planning the tasks to be completed in the first few days and setting small goals helps you focus and adapt quickly to the daily routine of work. Beyond these transition days, planning and setting goals is a good way to be more efficient and make the daily routine more bearable. Likewise, maintaining healthy eating habits, exercising regularly, and sleeping well also help make the first few days back to work easier and keep you active for the rest of the year.

  3. Finally, what can companies do to facilitate this process?
Companies should always strive to foster a welcoming environment that facilitates the onset of work. Likewise, if it's not essential, not scheduling critical tasks or important meetings on the first day of work can also help make the initial days of work easier.
