Citrate tubes for coagulation

This product is suitable for all coagulation tests. The buffered liquid anticoagulant allows for the determination of prothrombin time, even 12 hours after blood collection.

The citrate-to-blood ratio is 1:9.

Sodium citrate acts by binding calcium and is the anticoagulant of choice for coagulation tests. It is also used for erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), but in a different ratio (1:4).

The trisodium citrate (0.106 M) is prepared at 3.8% or 3.2%, depending on the code. It includes a preservative and a buffer solution that maintains a stable pH.
