Microtitre plates, sterile

Made from high-transparency polystyrene.
Standard 96-well plates. Three models available depending on the well depth.

Generally speaking, flat-bottom plates are best suited for optical reading (e.g. using a spectrophotometer); conical or round-bottom plates are very practical when the entire sample needs to be recovered, as well as for separating components by centrifugation.

Compatible with molecular diagnostic techniques and for direct smearing onto a microscope
slide.

Some applications:
• Dilution
• Batch sample preparation
• Protein precipitation
• Haemagglutination
• Conical-bottom plates can be used for the complement fixation technique
• Flat-bottomed plates are also suitable for suspension cell culture, as well as for those ELISA applications where surface treatment is not required to improve adhesion between the plate and the antigen or antibody.

The lid, made of transparent polystyrene, is supplied separately (codes 900015 or 900015.1).
These plates can also be sealed using transparent sealing film or a plate sealing mat.

Both sterile and non-sterile models are supplied in individually wrapped.
